Git from the bottom up

I’m tinkering with HomeSync again, and I’m rewriting my git interface to be a bit more low level. Reading git’s man pages doesn’t illuminate the process of how git’s magic works, but then I found this article by John Wiegley. It is a very well-written crash course in the internals of git. A must-read for anyone writing their own porcelain or building anything else on top of git.
